Hg./Ed.: Arbeitsgemeinschaft Ethnomedizin e.V.

curare, Zeitschrift für Ethnomedizin und transkulturelle Psychiatrie, wird seit 1978 von der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Ethnomedizin (AGEM) herausgegeben und ist Forum des Austausches und der Diskussion für diejenigen, deren Interesse traditionellen medizinischen Systemen, der medizinischen Entwicklungshilfe, der Gesundheitsplanung und ähnlichen Fragen gilt.
Damit dient curare der Pflege des interdisziplinären Gespräches zwischen den Fächern der Geistes- und Kulturwissenschaften, deren Forschungen Gesundheit, Krankheit, Vorbeugung und Heilung betreffen, sowie den verschiedenen Arbeitsrichtungen der praktischen und theoretischen Medizin. Die Zeitschrift curare wird ergänzt durch die ihr zugeordnete Reihe der curare-Sonderbände.

curare, Journal of Medical Anthropology and Transcultural Psychiatry, is edited by Arbeitsgemeinschaft Ethnomedizin e.V. (AGEM) since 1978. It is a forum of exchange and discussion between those who are interested in traditional medical systems, medical aid programmes, health planning, and related issues.
curare thereby promotes the interdisciplinary discourse between those disciplines of social and cultural sciences dealing with health, disease, health prevention and healing on the one side and various fields of practical and theoretical medicine on the other. The journal curare is completed by the supplementary series of curare-Special Volumes.
